Lance Mayes
Associate Pastor of Community Engagement
At Woodland, Lance works with missions, outreach, education, and our building and grounds.
Lance earned a BBA in Computer Information Systems from Baylor University in 1991 and an MA in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1994. He has worked in churches in West Texas, Central Texas, and now South Texas in full-time ministry for over 30 years.
Lance is married to Jennie, and they have two adult children. Leah is pursuing a BFA in Performance and Production with a minor in Studio Art at Texas State University, and produces a monthly College Comedy Night at an improv club in Austin. Nick is working in San Antonio and enjoys playing tuba in the San Antonio Community Wind Ensemble.
Lance loves to help people match their passions, gifts, and talents with meaningful service to God and people. He is a life coach helping people be their best selves.
