Did You Know — CBF Missions Excellence Award
Woodland has been selected to receive the prestigious Mission Excellence Award during the 2025 General Assembly of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in St. Louis, MO, this June.
From Rev. Laura Ayala, Coordinator of Global Missions:
Your church's commitment to exemplifying one or more of CBF’s Mission Distinctives has not gone unnoticed. We believe your dedication provides the wider Fellowship with cause for celebration and serves as a model for replication. Recognizing and celebrating the missional work being done within our network of churches is essential, and we are honored to acknowledge your church's outstanding contributions to God’s mission.
Way to go, Woodland! You have quietly and consistently served for years. When things got tough, you got creative. You started a ministry to assist people in securing vaccine appointments and even provided transportation. You located unhoused friends and brought them food, leading to a partnership with CAM. You found a way to keep families together by providing beds for children. Our Women in Action also makes teddy bears to give to the children (in addition to making hygiene and Days for Girls kits and more). This is on top of continued support of CBF field personnel, Habitat, CERI, benevolence, Larkspur ministry, advocacy, ESL and ELIM, and so much more.
