Pastoral note, from Garrett

This coming Sunday is Startup Sunday. Back-to-school time is here. Sunday, in both services, we will do the annual Blessing of the Backpacks. It’s promotion Sunday. There will also be a ministry fair in the atrium, where you can stroll through and learn about the various ministries to which we are connected. 

We will not have a lunch an business meeting this year. Due to space, we thought we might need to forego that part of Startup this year. We will have another Business meeting on Zoom (and in-person in the Traveler’s Classroom) on Aug 25 at noon instead. Yes, that is a Monday. 

This Sunday, Edie Dutton and I will be hosting tours of the sanctuary building after each worship service. Have you been wondering how the renovation is going? Come see for yourself. 

We will also do a video tour of the building and send it out later this week. For safety reasons, the contractor has recommended that if you use a cane or walker or if you have small children you take advantage of the virtual tour. Edie has a renovation update on the website. Check out the new pictures.
