Pastoral note, from Garrett

Thank you for your response to my message last week. I asked and you answered. We doubled our attendance in the 9 a.m. service yesterday. This was an incredible act of hospitality. By doing this, we created space for guests at 11 a.m.

We are still working out the kinks, but overall, I’m grateful that we have the opportunity to hold worship services in a beautiful space like Maresh Hall.

If you haven’t peeked in the windows of the Sanctuary Building in the past few days, then you might not yet know that things look different. Pugh Constructors has begun the demolition. The area down the long hallway, including the old Traveler’s Class to the men’s room, has all been opened up and cleared out. You can see pictures below. It’s exciting to see our plans come to life.

Last week, our youth had a great time at Passport Camp in Abilene. Passport is a missions camp. Not only do they spend time in Bible study, worship, and prayer, but they also dedicate a few hours each day to mission projects.

This week, the Church Council will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday night, and the Finance Committee will meet tonight (Monday).

 Grace and peace,

Garrett Vickrey
