Did You Know
A Missions Moment Brought to you by the
Missions & Ministries Committee
NAMI’s Bridges to Care is a program for churches to help implement a Mental Health Program. This is another opportunity to live out “Every Member A Minister.”
Woodland Church is hosting an interest meeting on June 1 at noon in the Youth Center. This meeting will explain what individuals need to do to help Woodland develop our Mental Health Program. We will have pizza, a presentation, time for questions, and an opportunity to sign up.
We want many Woodland members trained to help people with their mental health and well-being. You are invited to this interest meeting (it is for adults and teens, and childcare will be provided upon request).
NAMI Bridges to Care San Antonio (NAMI BTCSA) is a pre-crisis community mental health program centered on educating people about mental health and bridging individuals in need to community resources. Through training modules, community programming and strategic partnerships, BTCSA empowers individuals, youth, families, congregations, and organizations to care about mental health and well-being of self and others as Wellness Champions, Youth Mental Health Champions, and Teen Mental Health Champions.
Their mission is to create W.I.S.E. communities.

A NAMI Bridges to Care San Antonio (BTCSA) Wellness Champion is a person who values and promotes mental health awareness within their community and is passionate about ending the stigma facing mental illness. You do not have to be a mental health professional to be certified as a NAMI BTCSA Wellness Champion.
Woodland Church is hosting the Bridges to Care Interest Meeting on June 1, 2025, right after worship in the Youth Center. It will last about an hour, and we are providing pizza and childcare if needed.
If you are interested, you will have an opportunity to sign up after the meeting. If you need more time to think about it, no problem at all; you can sign up later.
There is no obligation by attending this interest meeting.
Please talk with Lance if you would like more information.
