A Missions Moment Brought to you by the
Missions & Ministries Committee
Woodland’s 2025 budget includes $500 for the Baptist World Alliance.
BWA connects 53 million people, 134 countries and territories, and has 266 member bodies.
The BWA has five key ministry areas:
Strengthening worship, fellowship, and unity
Leading in mission and evangelism
Responding through Aid, Relief, and Community Development
Defending Religious Freedom, Human Rights, and Justice
Advancing Theological Reflection and Transformational Leadership
The BWA mission is networking the Baptist family to impact the world for Christ. Their vision: The Baptist World Alliance is a global movement of Baptists sharing a common confession of faith in Jesus Christ bonded together by God’s love to support, encourage and strengthen one another while proclaiming and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit before a lost and hurting world.
Woodland Church member Dr. Nora Lozano has been a member of a BWA delegation that held theological conversations with the Catholic Church (Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity) and a featured speaker.
