Pastoral note, from Garrett

The anniversary potluck picnic is this Sunday (October 4) at 5 p.m. Our deacons organize this picnic each year. The church provides the fried chicken. We invite everyone to bring side dishes, salads, fruit, or desserts to share. 

Lots of fun to go with the food: pumpkin decorating contest (no carving, please); balloon fun for the kids with Mr. Twisty Art; music by Ben Gagné; and this year, everyone will receive a sweet takeaway to remind you of God’s goodness and to help you ‘Bee Blest’ as you go. Friends, neighbors, newcomers — all are welcome. 

The last gathering in our four-part Lifestages series is this Wednesday as we explore the gifts (and challenges) of being a grown-up. We’ll get started with dinner at 5:30 p.m. — $10/person. Let us know you’re coming by registering here. Dinner will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m., and the class will meet from 6–7 p.m.
