Pastoral note, from Garrett

Come for dinner at church on Wednesday. We’ll meet at 6 p.m. and eat together in the Atrium. After dinner we will break into 2 groups— 1) Team Gamache and 2) The Fall Family Fellowship Squad. Let us know you're coming by clicking on the REALM link in the red boxes below. 

The Serendipity experience will feature a discussion of the genius of Louise Penny’s Gamache narratives. The Fall Family Fellowship will be active and engaging. Get ready! 

Monday night at 6 p.m. we will have our Budget Hearing in the Traveler’s Classroom and on Zoom. Tuesday night the Church Council will meet in the conference room at 6 p.m.

November 16 will be our Woodland Thanksgiving dinner. We are still working out the location. This has taken much longer than expected. But save the date — 6 p.m. on  November 16. The program has some special surprises. It’s going to be a great night. 

November 2 is All Saints Sunday. On All Saints Sunday, we will remember and give thanks for those in our congregation who have died this past year. The Connections Class will host an All Saints Breakfast in the conference room that morning to honor their memory and care for their families. Invitations will be sent to the families of members we’ve lost this year.

November 2 is also Randy Edward’s 20th anniversary at Woodland. We will honor him with a reception in the atrium after the 9 am service. Come by and give Randy a pat on the back, he’s not anxious about people being in his personal space.
