Pastoral note, from Garrett

This Sunday is All Saints Sunday. All Saints is a time set aside to remember and give thanks for those in our congregation who have died this past year. The Connections Class will host an All Saints Breakfast in the conference room that morning to honor their memory and care for their families.

This Sunday is also Randy Edward’s 20th anniversary at Woodland. We will honor him with a come-and-go reception in the atrium at 10 a.m. We’ll have a little presentation for him at 10:05 (ish).

Third thing about this Sunday: we are also kicking off the Planted Together Capital Campaign this Sunday. We will be talking about our Shared Legacy. All Saints is a good day to remember our Shared Legacy. We have been given so much by God through the founding of this church and the people who have given sacrificially to cultivate this community. We have much to be thankful for. Speaking of…

Our Woodland Thanksgiving dinner will be on November 16. You will get another email about this in the coming days, where you will be able to buy tickets. We have had to move the location from the original spot.

The Thanksgiving dinner and celebration will be at TriPoint (3233 N St Mary’s St, San Antonio, TX 78212). TriPoint is a multi-purpose facility owned by Trinity Baptist. It’s a large space accustomed to groups like ours. The program is going to be really special, and so I hope you will save the date.

Grace and peace,

Garrett Vickrey
