Did You Know — Youth Trip to the Texas Border

Our youth are going to the Texas Border this July with Elket Rodriguez, Jana, and Lance.

They will learn about the current state of immigration in The Valley. They will see the work at Catholic Charities in McAllen, and at West Brownsville Baptist Church and Pastor Carlos. They will meet and hear from CBP (Customs and Border Patrol). They will get to bag fruits and veggies that will be distributed to immigrants. They will visit the Colonias with Cali Fernández and the South Texas Human Rights Center in Falfurrias.

It won’t be all education and service. They will also visit South Padre Island to see Sea Turtle, Inc. and participate in team-building activities, including sand castle-building lessons.
