The Woodland Usher Ministry is a ministry of the Outreach Committee.

We are the first faces people see when they enter Woodland Church buildings.

We serve by warmly greeting those coming to our beautiful Woodland campus every Sunday morning for Sunday School and Worship with “Intentional Hospitality”

Each Sunday, we are a team of 11 greeters or ushers who serve the congregation, visitors and ministerial staff by welcoming and by assisting in any way we can. Ensuring each person on the Woodland campus feels they are known, they belong and they are loved by Christ.

FAQ’s

  • Only once a month, there is currently 1 opening for a quarterly server on the first Sunday of each month. This opening is for a family but an individual will nicely fit in just fine.

  • From 9:15 AM - 12:15 PM - Please arrive on time.

  • There is a simple system set up for you to find your

    replacement. You have 1 of 2 options.

    1. You can send a group email to all the members of the Usher Ministry requesting someone trade Sunday’s with you.

    2. You can email our Substitution list of 8 people requesting a substitute for you.

  • Intentional Hospitality is the deliberate, proactive Christ-like practice of extending love, warmth, and service to guests and our church community. It moves from passive friendliness to purposeful action, creating safe, engaging spaces to make ALL attendees feel known, loved, and that they belong.

  • Our ministry encourages children participating, your child will be partnered with an adult usher/greeter who you approve and your child is compatible with.

ALL YOUTH ARE INVITED TO USHER or GREET.
