Children’s Choirs

The Children’s Choirs at Woodland provide an opportunity, for preschoolers, ages 3 to 5 and children, grades 1 to 5, to learn hymns, songs and music in general within an appropriate age-group. Most of the songs are faith and scripture-based. While the rehearsals maintain a dynamic and fun environment, the participants lead in worship at the end of each season.

The Children’s Choirs observe two seasons: Fall and Spring, each with a length of ten effective sessions. Each session has a duration of 45 minutes. The exact dates and hours are determined at the beginning of each season.

Adult, college and high-school volunteers assist the leaders of each group in the different activities of a session while helping the children keep up with the flow of the rehearsal. The Children’s Choirs are directed by Daniel Zamora, with Lois Gagné accompanying on the piano. For more information, contact Daniel Zamora or Lisa Shinkins.
