Jeremiah 29:11-13
I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen.
When you come looking for me, you’ll find me.
What comfort we take from these words. How good it is to know that Someone knows what he or she is doing and is interested in our well-being and care. When we seek, we find. When we call out, Someone hears. When we falter, there is help.
Grateful we are, gracious God, for your love for us. You are the source of our confidence. Our hope for the days to come lies in the knowledge that you are attentive to our concerns and responsive to our needs. We look to the future trusting that the Great Companion is near, always by our side, encouraging us. Amen.
