Recycling – Paper – GAPP
The “P” is for Paper, which is derived from the Egyptian “papyrus”, the native reed. Paper, as we know it today, was developed in China in 100 AD. The first paper mill to use recycled linen was in the colonies in 1690 & NY City started a major recycling center in 1895. In 1993, the US recycled more paper than was buried in landfills.
