Bio

My name is Jana Atkinson Morga. I am from the booming town of Hondo, Texas. I am married to the wonderful Dave Morga. We met at Baptist University of the Americas, where I obtained a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies. I also have an associate degree from Southwest Texas Junior College and a certification from the Christian Latina Leadership Institute. Education is something I greatly value, and so I am still a student. I am studying at Logsdon Seminary, working towards my Master’s in Divinity, emphasizing Spiritual Care. I am healthily obsessed with Theology and the studying of God’s word. Most importantly, I love youth and young adult students and believe they are vital to the Body of Christ and the Church’s mission.

Worst job you've ever had, and what did you learn from it?

I have never really had a bad job. I have been very blessed. However, I taught pre-school for one year. I realized I am not meant to work with anyone under the age of 12. Those who work with children deserve to be paid a million dollars a week. Kids are so incredible, and it takes incredible people to nurture and lead them.

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Your worth comes from the love of Christ and nothing else. It will all be okay, just be yourself.

Are you musical?

I played the French Horn in high school. It was suggested that I retire after graduation.

What is your favorite board game, card game, or table game?
