Psalm 84
Can you remember the last time you just sat in silence and had a conversation with the Lord? I am talking about quiet time away from the world – no phone, no email, only uninterrupted time with God? Just being in his presence. Thinking about this situation reminds of the song “ The More I Seek You”. This song states that the more we seek him the more we find him, the more we find him the more we love him. When that love is sought it makes us want to sit at his feet, drink from his cup, lay back against him and breathe.
When is the last time you did this? Is there a special place where you go to get away and spend time with the Lord? As our lives get busy it is important for us to take time to listen to the Lord and what he has to tell us. Sometimes we just need to listen. Other times we need to talk. Most of the time we just need to be mindful of his presence more than we are on daily bases.
Today it is harder than ever to carve out time to be still before the Lord. I want to encourage you to find the time to spend in deep meditation and silence in the Lord.
