During our weekly Youth Gathering on August 7, we concluded our study of the book of Psalms by writing our own Psalms to God. Some students wrote their own words, some pieced together verses from the Psalms in our text. It was a prayerful and meaningful experience, so we thought it would be good to share with you some of the Psalms this week.
With Me Everywhere
By Eastin Kandt
1Lord, You are with me everywhere,
Please help me as I pray this prayer.
2Let me feel You by me every day,
and not be nervous when I pray.
3Please help me with my OCD,
In all my struggles comfort me.
4Even when I don’t feel You there,
Let me not be afraid to pray a prayer.
5Let Your peace wash over me,
And help me with my vanity.
6Even when I feel alone,
Let me in You find a home.
7Even when I feel afraid,
Even when nothing goes my way.
8Even when I’m worried stiff,
When I pray You answer it.
9Sometimes it’s not right away,
Sometimes it takes many days.
10Sometimes I don’t see Your ways,
But let me always give You praise.
11Let me come to You when I am down,
Remind me how You come around.
12Even when I give up hope,
Help me trust in the God I know.
13Even when I feel alone,
And I cannot make my struggles known.
14Remind me always that there is one,
Who understands all underneath the sun.
15And designed me to be who I am today,
Perfectly crafted in every way.
16Jesus, help me trust in what You do,
And give all glory, honor, and power to You!
Amen
